The New Zealand Spirits Awards celebrate excellence in both local and international spirits available in Aotearoa. Judged by panels of industry experts, entries are awarded bronze, silver and gold medals—recognising outstanding quality in each category.

Top New Zealand-made products may also be awarded Trophies for Best in Category, Best Emerging Product, Best Packaging Design, and Best Innovation—highlighting creativity and excellence in our local industry.

Now in its sixth year, the Awards continue to grow in profile, helping consumers discover the best spirits on the market and showcasing how New Zealand products compare on a global stage.

Key Dates

• Entries open: 10 April 2025
• Entries close: 6 June 2025
• Final day to receive judging samples: 20 June 2025
• Judging: 16–18 July 2025
• Medal winners announced: 24 July 2025
• Trophy winners announced: 15 August 2025 (at the Awards Dinner).
