Other NZ Spirit Definitions - DSA has created this document where we have interpreted the wording in current NZ legislation (Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code – Standard 2.7.5 – Spirits). Note that the current Food Standard Code includes rules on the use of Geographical Indicators, some ingredients and the minimum %abv for spirits. The DSA document is here. This document also includes the accepted definitions of the categories used in the NZ Spirits Awards, which may be useful for simple differentiation of spirit type. |
